We, so often have these voices in our head from the past that run our life in the present, which doesn’t allow us to “move forward”.
The Chaplain on my team, at work was kind enough to share the following. I instantly wrote, on the first line, “I must let go of my mother’s negative voices in my head.”
I do practice this every day, as it is important to be reminded of what can run us and ruin the happiness of our future…. I don’t let it and have moved forward in my life.

How Do You Let Go of Things from the Past?
1. Create a positive mantra to counter the painful thoughts. …
2. Try communicating with the person and talk things out…
3.Write your thoughts in a letter to that person. You do not have to mail it…
4. Stop blaming yourself
5. Practice mindfulness. …
6.Be gentle with yourself. …
7. Allow the negative emotions to flow. …
8. Engage in self-care.
9. Accept that the other person may not apologize. …
If your first response to not being able to let go of a painful situation is to criticize yourself, it’s time to show yourself some kindness and compassion.
